A Memorial Service for Vanessa Carrillo was held
aboard the American Princess on September 17, 2005.

Vanessa's Memorial Service was attended by family and friends.
Vanessa Carrillo, 25, of the Bronx, N.Y. died Sunday, June 19, 2005. Born May 10, 1980, in Queens, N.Y. she was the daughter of Oscar and Lupe Carrillo of the Bronx, N.Y. In addition to her parents, she is survived by one brother and closest confidant, Oscar J. Carrillo of the Bronx, N.Y.; and one sister, Julissa Carrillo of Altamonte Springs, Florida.

Vanessa loved to travel, she accompanied her father to Beijing, Tokyo, Honolulu, Hong Kong, London, Paris, Mexico and Canada with extended family and friends.  She worked for Limited Stores as their Production Coordinator and was responsible for imports from Mexico. Vanessa enjoyed swimming and loved music from Dr Dre to the Sounds of U2.. 

Always the liveliest person of the bunch, At twenty five, she experience so much more than her contemporaries, she was bright, beautiful and had a promising successful future on the way.

Abraham Lincoln said, "And in the end it's not the years in your life that count, it's the life in your years". Vanessa was this type of person.

I always came away with a feeling of "life" after speaking or seeing her.
