To bury cremated remains in the ocean's depths rather than floating them on the water's surface, a biodegradable urn has been developed. Our exclusive OceanUrn™ features unique Bio-Aqua™ technology to provide an attractive vessel which is cast into the ocean's depths.

It slowly dissolves, gently resting the cremated remains on the ocean floor. Some, guided by religious belief, select these urns to insure respectful handling of cremated remains when performing sea burials. The OceanUrn™ can easily be incorporated in any Sea Service burial, or is available to you for your own voyage or charter service.

OceanUrns™ bio-degrade under water or when buried under ground, and are available in several styles and colors. They can be custom painted and decorated.

All our urns may be furnished with special glazing and firing for a more permanent use. These are prepared by the craftsman using special materials and techniques to insure a longer life whether retained on land, buried in earth or underwater. Urns ordered for permanent use will still dissolve underwater in about one year, while the standard urn is lightly fired to insure dissolving underwater in less than an hour.

Unlike many other sea burial urns, the OceanUrn™ is hand crafted of natural elements, with the appearance of fine pottery. Many urns available elsewhere are simply pasted paper products combined with glue, which lack the fine appearance of the OceanUrn™.

When choosing an urn for sea burial, special attention must be given to follow all laws and regulations. The urn should be treated carefully to avoid damage and moisture, and when buried at sea, must be placed only as law permits.

Our Keepsake memorials offer a further way to memorialize a loved one; by placing a locket of hair inside the pendant for the same comforting effect. The pendants may be placed inside a glass dome, or worn around the neck with the addition of a chain.
